Adjusting overscan on Sony A20?

Hey there folks. I just picked up a 55" Sony A20 and I'm thrilled with it. One minor issue though. I notice that w/ OTO & DVD that my picture is right where it should be but w/ my Dish Network signal (input to Video 1 w/ S-Video cable) that I'm getting a bit of overscan. (tops of heads cut off) It's not extreme but I can tell it's there, especially if I've seen the same show/move recently.

My Dish reciever does have a 4:3 vs 16:9 option and the only difference that seems to make is that in 16:9 it seems to widen the picture a little bit... (still has the side letterboxes) I don't notice a vertical change from this setting but if it were minor and I've got overscan anyway I could be overlooking it.

Soooo... I imagine this is a service menu change. I've not tried the service menu yet but I'll be looking into it soon to try the red push fix. Figured I might try to take care of this too if I can.

FYI, I'm not in zoom or wide zoom, I know those modes cause overscan. I'm just trying to watch 4:3 Dish content in "Normal" mode w/o overscan.

You said it yourself, the service menu.

Just take care with adjusting anything in there ;)

Well... see that's the thing... I've not been into the service menu & have no clue how cryptic the adjustment would end up being.

Is there just a line that says something logical like "Vertical height = 23" and I just turn it into "Vertical heigth = 20"... *scratches head*...

Anyone done any overscan tweaking that could tell me what kind of field to look for and what kind of data the field will call for?
