Good Evening Everyone,

Before I bought my 42PD25, I had seen several mentions in this forum discussing excessive overscan. Now that I have owned one for a few months I have realized the overscan is in fact excessive and more than I care for. In the past I have adjusted the overscan on my older TV's but I have found there is usually a negative side effect. I have a few questions:

1. Has anyone adjusted the overscan on their 42PD25?.

2. Did you notice any negative side effects?

3. Was the overscan adjustment global? In others words, did the adjustment work for 480i signals along with 480p, 720p and 1080i or were individual adjustments needed?

TIA

1. Some Members did it.

2. ???

3. Separate settings for 480i, 480p & 1080i.

I would really like to know how to adjust overscan on the newer model 42PD50 or 42PX50. Is there anyway to do so? I want a plasma model that can reduce overscan to near zero, I can't live with the excessive factory overscan settings.
