" Adjustments to the EU energy regulations in 2021 have been made " for the q95t

this " Adjustments to the EU energy regulations in 2021 have been made " has actually reduced the picture quality of my q95t , before the 1497 firmware everything looks perfect : colors , brightness , sharpness , but after the 1497 firmware , the tv looks dimmer , colors faded , the cause of this , is this new Adjustments to the EU energy regulations , I don’t know what they lowered it to exactly, or what they had to sacrifice to do this (likely peak speaker volume and backlight brightness) or that meant downclocking the CPU for post-processing , i'm thinking that Samsung should give us the right to accept these power adjustment or refuse it , otherwise this is a betrayal of our trust , i loved this q95t so much and now i disgust it

Chevk your settings and make sure any eco mode is off. Perhaps the firmware update turned on eco settings for modes that didn't originally have eco on. Nice signature by the way. I'm hoping something new is coming our way on that front soon.

thx for the advice its very kind of you , i've checked everything and no settings have been changed , i think that Samsung has changed something deep in the tv motherboard circuit like max wattage and max cpu post-processing .
in our case as Samsung old tv purchase of 2020 , the total blame is for this manufacturer , how could Samsung modify the system of an old production who is not gonna be sold in EU MARKETS when this " new eu power regulation " is meant for the new 2021 model , if i find more victims , we could sue Samsung in justice for this adjustment that decreases the picture quality of the q95t .

Sounds really messed up! But if you can find the older firmware that worked fine somewhere on the net, should it not be possible to update back to that via USB? Or does the TV require that the firmware is newer than the present one, or it will not perform the update?

Good question Mate , to see how bad are there intents , Samsung doesn't allow any qled tv to be restored to the previous " healthy firmware " and refuses to give us our " customer right " to downgrade from a firmware that damage " intentionally " by Samsong our " own tvs " .
Sounds crazy...and illegal to do that to customers. But you should try finding an older firmware and see if it works to downgrade via USB. I am sure there are some owners of the same TV that have them stored and can share them, if you can't find anywhere to download them that is.

I think the file you need is named T-NKMDEUC_1460.9.exe

The link was for the 55'', but fixed it now. So re-download if you already downloaded it (even though it is probably the same file).

it s very kind from you ,thanks Mate , but i fear that the downgrade mechanism is prohibited by Samsung , nevertheless i will try downgrade it , do you have a zip file of this 1460.9 firmware , please ?
thx SkyDude , i loved this q95t in the begining , I'm already a cinephile i watch a lot of movies 4k , 1080p and sdr , I'm setting my q95t as a pc monitor connected to my asus nvidia strix 2080 ti set to a 2k desktop resolution, with the Nvidia Purevideo technology activated in a Qled tv , everything was vivid bright and stunning but when they launched the 1497 firmware everything now is gone .

sadly , it didn't succed , impossible to downgrade , thnx for your advice
maybe take a look in the service menu ?
I've checked every option in the whole settings menu , even " ecomode " is already disabled , with the same settings now with 1497 firmware , my tv was bright and the sdr upscaling was stunning with the previous 1460 firmware in PC MODE .

Samsung have had history of rumors firmware updating old models to look worse to sell new TVs but this is scam level stuff right here.

I was always setting my hdmi input to PC MODE , and it was stunning for media consumption not gaming because i use my pc for work and multimedia , but the picture quality degrades after the 1497 firmware even with the same settings that were perfect for me previously , so i get the same conclusion over and over and that is the 1497 fw has limited the brightness and the cpu voltage and by consequence has detriorated the tv media experience for me , watching my q95t in 2k resolution like watching a cheap chinese tv model , tv is less backlight bright more dimmed and the SDR content are ugly fuzzy and noisy .

Too bad it did not work to downgrade!

You should totally group-sue them for negatively altering and partially destroying the product they sold you. This behavior should be deemed criminal, both against the costumers and the environment (by creating more e-waste), and not be allowed.

Personally I will not buy a Samsung product again after hearing about this.
yep I agree with you , but
