What is this?


I saw this at my local Future shop.....a Panasonic DVD-S27K

I was thinking of getting another player... i was wondering if 'advanced' progressive scan is really anything special.

It's probably meant to be read as [advanced] [progressive-scan DVD player], as opposed to [advanced progressive-scan] [DVD player]. I.e., it's an 'advanced' version of a progressive scan player, not a player that has some sort of new 'advanced' progressive scan technology.


And who knows what any of this means anyway? It's not like they're going to give you any concrete information to back up their claims. It's most likely all just marketing-speak to make one player look better than the others.
