Since the A304 does not do native and converts using analog rather than digital, what are the real advantages of buying this card. I use a Mac so the firmware updates seem to be out of the question.

Are there appreciable differences in pq on sdtv and/or degradation on hd.

I think the concensus is that Aurora's scaler is superior to the 5002's for SD.
