hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a receiver to power my new Polk monitor speakers (monitor 50 fronts, 30 rears, CS 1 center).
newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882290014

Things I thinkI want:

1) 2 zones, I'd like to be able to have surround or stereo music playing in the living room and be able to play something different outside on the deck through a different source. From what I've seen it seems like most receivers are able to do this.

2) Low cost of operation, from what I've read digital receivers run cooler and consume less power. Since I don't really have a need for video up conversion since I subscribe only to HD channels and never watch DVDs, this seems like the way to go.

3) TrueHD, I'd like to have any codecs that are used now. This isn't a must, but seems like its a good idea to have now.

Not a huge deal if a receiver only has 3 HDMI ins, multiple outs would be great, but I haven't seen that on something relative cheap. I'm looking for something around $300.

Your advice on what other things to consider, what to look at to get a good match for my speakers and if my needs above make sense.

If you could point me to a couple specific receivers that'd really help.

Thanks!!

If lossless is your cup of tea. Look at Harman Audio. They have some good stuff on ebay for relatively inexpensive.

Maybe HK 254/354

They are honest with their powerratings they are all channels powered...in stereo you will find a boost in wattage past rated specs.
