I've narrowed my decision down to 3:

Mitsubishi LT3020 30"

JVC LT-26WX84 26"

Samsung LT-P266W 26" (not yet available?)


I'm working with a cabinet opening 30"W x 24"H.

Most of the 30" models won't fit. Speakers not necessary.

Open to more suggestions.


I've not seen any of the units in operation.

The LT3020 would fit but I would have to remove stand and rig into cabinet with a wall mount. I considered the NEC LCD3000 but from what I can tell the response time is not fast enough for home theater use.

I just ran across this right after I read your post.
Betasys 30" LCD

It should fit your dimensions since it's speakers are below the display.

I have no idea how good it is, just thought you might like to see it.

Meanwhile I did go into Goodguys and saw the Mits and the JVC. The Mits looks great, and now they have 2 new models, the LT-3040 and LT-3050. The only difference between the LT-3020 and the new models is that the 3040 has an added white bezel and the 3050 a black bezel. The electronics, I was told, is the same.
