I have a benchmark DAC2 HGC. I am an avid music listener, podcast listener and sometimes podcast myself. Music sound quality is key.

I was thinking:
Computer as a source feeding a Benchmark Dac2 feeding a pair of Focal solo6 be
Or
Computer as a source feeding a Benchmark Dac2 feeding an emotiva amp feeding a pair of kef LS50

Nearfield listening. Less than 6 inches clearance to rear wall. Room 9' x 8' roughly. Difficult to room treat. Carpeted at least.

Which setup might be better?

You should go with a pair of powered studio monitors. They would be perfect for near field listening in a small room.

LS50s are fantastic for near field setup.

I was looking at the Focal Solo6 BE but based off reviews I decided to stay with separates for now until I can audition those later in life :)
