Depending on your usage, perhaps nothing. It also depends on how picky you are about your image. For instance, I just [finally] replaced a Toshiba unit in my living room with a Denon 1600 because I couldn't stand the chroma bug on the Toshiba. I gave the Toshiba to my neighbor. He's never gonna notice the chroma bug. It bugs the heck out of me.

Will you be using this on a large screen? If so, try to find out:

- Does it have the chroma bug (CUE)?

- Is the video section decent (i.e. relatively flat response)?

- What kind of progressive scan does it have? Does the deinterlacer perform well?

- Any Y/C delay on the component (or s-video if you're gonna use that) lines?

- Does it pass "blacker than black"? Does it allow for setup of 0IRE/7.5IRE blacklevel?

For more info on some of these, check out the "article index" at the DVD progressive player shootout:

There's loads of info there on what they test, and why it's important.

It sure is. There's lots of info here on the forum (do searches), and on that link at hometheaterhifi. Between the two, you can probably figure out what you need to determine if the player is right for you. All else fails, just post again - there's no shortage of opinions here :D
