They kinda look like an Aura knock off but the name is never mentioned anywhere which I would be concerned about since you can't get any specs. If it were me I'd pay a little extra and get some Aura shaker pros from parts express.

For that price, I would just get the Aura shakers. The have been on sale for less than $30 and are proven performers. They are not great below 20Hz without EQ.

They're only $17 apiece with shipping compared to $45 apiece before shipping. Also, this ebayer also has 10 of his shakers for about 10 apiece with shipping which sounds like a pretty good deal (i would hook up 2 sets of four and keep a couple as backups). Although, Parts Express does have a deal where if you buy 4 you'll get them at $40 apiece and free shipping. But basically, the ebay ones would still be half the price. The seller didnt know what their frequency response is, but he told me that they handle up to 25 watts apiece at 2 ohms.

Ya, but with most things audio. If you go cheap you will wish you didn't because it often takes more of them or something along those lines.

I started with 4 Auras and they are at least twice as powerful as the ebay ones and I ended needing 4 more to balance things out.

But, if the price is the determining factor then go for it.

I think that I might just get the cheaper ones and if they dont work out, then I'm going to try the more expensive ones. I was just hoping that someone on here had experience with these so that I would know better what to expect.

I'm thinking about trying them out on my bed first - hoping that they'll be something fun to wake up to. Anyone know if I can just put them under the mattress, or will I have to screw them into the boxspring?

Yes, Buttkickers are the best. Their frequency range extends down to 5 Hz where most of the others give out at 20 without significant EQ.

But, they require significantly more power as they are also MUCH stronger than the others. Clark also makes various levels of transducers that work well.

I think that was the first generation of buttkickers that went that low. Now I think only the earthquake does.

I think they always have including the latest LFE and Concert series, they both have a 5-200 Hz rating.

Well from reading around on real world feedback I have definitely heard the first gen go that low but the current series fail and don't meet spec.

I had not heard that, they seem to be unchanged physically other than decals.

I know the Buttkicker branded amp has/had a rolloff well before 5 Hz though.

Hmm...I was thinking about buying the Buttkickers because of how low they are supposed to go, but if they don't anymore and still require more power, then I suppose that leaves Clark and Earthquake, and Ibeam. Any recomendations between those three?

How about k-woon? There's a guy on eBay selling them who says that hey are better than bass shakers.

Never heard of those. Sounds like a some sort of knockoff product.
