I currently have a Pioneer Dv-414 player and would like some advice replacing it......i have a Pioneer 50" projection TV.....I'm not that interested in playing cd-rws or mp3's...I want one that will give me the best possible picture/sound........I am willing to spend $200-250......any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....I've had this player for about three years and wasn't sure what the latest technology is with them.

Thanks,

MIke

Your not saying what model Pioneer. If its any of there HD ready sets that can obviously display in progressive scan, I would reccomend the Toshba Sl5700/also plays DVD audio/HDCD circuitry and, of course progressive scan and cant be purchase for under $300/ believe I paid around 275bucks on-line. Try pricescan.com and see! Good luck.. Fishman

I read shims other post RPTV doesn't have *component* inputs at all! IMO New TV with components and set box box is needed, unless RPTV is integrated with line doubler built in. My 2¢ :)
