advice on reciever with hdmi

Any advice out there for a receiver with hdmi? the JVC RX-D402B is the only one that i have come across so far under $400, and I need to stay around that price point. is this a good buy, or is there something else out there worth checking out. i figured to pair it up with the panasonic DVD-S97. please help!!!!!!!!!!

the panny xr70s doesn't convert component to hdmi, but it does have 1 hdmi.

Do a search on HDMI on this forum. From the info, you'll likely find that there is still a lot to work out on the HDMI front. I wouldn't worry about it yet unless it's a *must* have for you and you can't run component for some reason.
