There's plenty of postings here at AVS, but if you're more inclined to have a list of models to search on AVS, try looking at Cnet for their reviews. Another way I found helpful in late 2007 was visiting the sites of the different manufacturers. Getting a list of what looked promising on their sites and comparing what AVS users had to say about each model. Of course visiting a b&m store, viewing displays and then coming back to AVS and doing more research was the most helpful. IMHO, seeing the displays with your eyes is the best way to determine if you like it. After that, reading the AVS forum on the models helps in decision making because the posts can help you with the pros and cons of each model.
