Hi guys,

I know that a lot of people uses VGA cable for AE100 PJ because they produce better pic quality compared to component or S video.

Do you have any recomendation on ehat is a good VGA cable and whrere to get it from?

will a regular computer vga cable be good enough?

thanks

As you probably already know, what's "good" to one person may be garbage to another (i.e. very subjective). That said, I'm very happy with the cables I purchased from http://bettercables.com/. In particular, I ordered the Silver Serpent VGA Cable ( http://bettercables.com/1met328feetv.html ). It's certainly more expensive than many, but I'm impressed with its properties that are not found in most other brands.

It's connected directly from my HTPC to the AE100.

Hi all,

I asked this question in another thread but did not get an answer: Is the VGA cable from an iscan Vx to the AE 100 M-M, M-F, or F-F? I have the feeling that it is M-M but I do not want to order my cable until I know for sure.

Thanks for the help.

kenfab,

Thanks for the quick reply. Now for another question:

Which is better - a long s-video cable to the iscan and a short VGA to the projector or just the reverse?

It depends on the quality of each cable. Generally, you want the shortest length you're able to use. However, if you have a superior cable that's designed for longer lengths (like the one I mentioned earlier), then use it as the longer cable.

My Recommendation:

Shortest, "Best" S-Video Cable to iScan -> iScan -> Any length "Best" VGA Cable -> AE100
