My panny 100u has the yellow blob dead center on the screen. I am getting my third lamp this week and just noticed it. I have tried to defocus the image and I don't think it is a dust blob, but I can't be positive. I think that it's been there for some time but never really noticed it due to the extreme brightness that the panny throws....

Has anyone successfully fixed this with DIY...I might try the condensed air trick, but want to know where the proper location of the LCD wheel are??? I will crack this baby open if needed but would really like to avoid that...on another note, if someone wants to part with their 200 please let me know...

Any help would be great...thanks guys

What you're describing sounds like a polarizer burn, not a dust blob. This is fairly common with a lot of LCD projectors. The only cure is to replace the damaged parts, IF they're available.

And this IS an LCD projector, there is no Color Wheel.
