AE700 picture problem

Hey guys, just took delivery of an AE700, and love it to death already....BUT...I can't get the image to display perfectly. To begin with let me just say that I work on a fully operational flight simulator which utilizes a 5 CRT projector system. I am completely familiar with calibration patterns, and what to look for in a system such as this (you think calibrating one display is bad, try matching 5 in tone as well as blending the edges!).

Onto my specific problem:)

I pulled up the the white crosshatch pattern to verify what I was already seeing during movies and all other sources for that matter. The bottom and right side of the display look perfectly straight as they should, but the left side of the image gradually tapers inward more toward the center of the display. If I measured the distance of the leftmost vertically displayed white line to the edge of my screen I would say the top would measure roughly twice the distance of the bottom measurement.

Now my first thought when I saw this was keystone, but the pattern verified that I do not have this problem on the right side, and if I adjust keystone I'm bettering one, and making one worse while also losing a bit of focus by even touching keystone at all. My projector is mounted on a shelf and looks to be near perfectly leveled. My screen also appears to be pretty well flat and parallel to the wall as well. I am using alot of vertical lens shift, but little or no horizontal (tough to tell with that stick what exactly the center is). If I was adjusting a crt display at work I would isolate the upper left quadrant of the display and monkey with the trapezoidal and pincushion adjustments. As far as I know, I have no such luxury here.......ANY IDEAS??!!!

On a side note, has anyone who games on this unit ever seen the screen blank out like it lost the sync or signal??? This happened both on my Xbox dashboard as well as on Resident Evil 4. Never saw it in an Xbox game though. I'm wondering if it has something to do with being sent an interlaced signal. Like I said, it never happened in-game on the box which is always at least 480p or on dvds which I'm sending progressive to as well. A progressive PS2 game checked out okay as well. Hmmm????

Extreme vertical lens shift will introduce a fair amount of picture distortion along either the top or bottom edge - depending on how you have the projector mounted. I have my AE700 mounted on the ceiling and used a combination of a longer mounting pole and moving my screen up to compensate.
