From the posts I've made to this forum, it's apparent that I own a SW-12 and am just astounded by the quality of sound it presents. However, I thought that in the interest of fairness, I'd post this. The volume control on the preamp uses IR codes that cause the level of the sub to change in the opposite direction. Not a very smart design IMO.
The other annoyance is the laser sharp, blinding blue light on the front of the subwoofer (there are a bunch of them, but the blue is of particular brightness). There is a "light" button on the machined remote that actives a flashlight (!?), instead of dimming the display. Another oversight IMO.
Still, I highly recommend this subwoofer. The performance is exceptional.
Regards, Mark
