Am using the Win7 RC (I know, I know...still hunting for an OEM option or a good deal on Win7 Ultimate 64-bit...if I can't find anything by 3/5, I'm going to throw in the towel and pick up a retail copy) and have come across an interesting snag.
Having tired of having multiple libraries for my audio for use in iTunes and W7MC, I decided to rerip everything in an uncompressed format that everything could read and supported metadata. For this purpose, the only format that could possibly work was AIFF. So here I am, my ALAC files wiped and 1/3 of the way through re-ripping my CDs when I load up W7MC only to discover that it won't load my AIFF files! Windows Media Player, on the other hand, has no trouble whatsoever.
Is this confined to the RC? When I upgrade in the next couple weeks, will this problem go away? I'd hate to have to go back to square one and have two libraries again after going to the effort of re-ripping all of this stuff.
