This was part of an email received today from Ilovehdtv.com:

AMEN. I was in Fry's Electronics yesterday to browse the HD sets and they must be the biggest offenders of misdisplaying HDTV of anyone I have ever seen.

Out of about 30 different sets, only 1 was running any real HD material on it and the set was so badly calibrated it barely passed as HD quality. The set was a 65" Mits that was running a closed demo only on that set. All the other sets either had an animated DVD or a very poor off the air Analog TV channel.

This is an atrocity. If J6P walks in and sees these displays, he most certainly will buy the 27"-36" Sony WEGA (NOT XBR) because it looks so much better for the same price as an RPTV with the material they are showing.
