Sounds like this is worth getting.

Id like to use it for two things.

1. Display my 3d content from my 3d fuji w3.

if needed ill convert 3d pics and videos to the needed format for the frame.

2. Use it as a portable 3d movie player.

"Supports original 3D Video Side by Side Clip with .MP4 (MPEG H.264)"

I have converted full 3d movies to play on the fuji w3

I think the bigger frame would be better.

anyone here have one yet?

another option

Mine is on the way. I have the same uses in mind - I can finally show off my 3D shots to others without requiring them to wear glasses or manhandle my camera!

I expect that the frame will play the Fuji mpo files with no conversion, but as you say the videos will have to be converted to the MP4 codec.

As far as I can tell the Aiptek and the Viewsonic 3D frames are exactly the same with different badging. I have read the very skimpy manuals for both.

Mine arrived yesterday. It works quite well, stills and video both have excellent depth, but you do need to stay in the "sweet spot" for sure.

do you have a fuji 3d cam?

if so did you have to convert picture or video format to play on the frame??

its 4:3 right?

how does it handle 16:9.

how does it compare to the fuji screen other than being bigger?

I have the cheap Aiptek camera, so it was plug and play. The screen in 4X3. I'm interested to hear the answer to your question though, as I am interested in the W3 also.

Does the Aiptek 3d produce .mpo files? If yes, then we can be asssured that the Fuji 3D stills will show natively on the Aiptek screen.

For sure the Fuji W3 video files will not.

It does not seem, from posts on Amazon, that the Aiptek viewer reads .mpo files. Moreover it requires a particular folder structure that identifies 3D photos.

Can an owner of the Aiptek 3D camera provide a sample 3D still, or at least the names given to them (*.jpg?) as well as the names of the folders on the sd card?
