Hi, i had a bad dust blotch on the lower part of the screen, i carefully read the posts regarding cleaning the dlp units and bought a can of compressed air. I carefully removed the lamp enclosure form the DX3 and noted that the color wheel is just after the lamp unprotected from dust, moisture, fingerprints etc.
Anyway, blowing air in the fans and in the lamp enclosure totally solved my problem, what i noted is that after the cleaning the main fan is now modulating. It starts slowly and gradually gets faster as the haet goes up, this was totally new and i tought i broke the fan at the beginning.
Also the noise is a little bit lower.
Any impression on cleaning for other DX3 owners ?
