I would like to allow for a party mode with all speakers playing the same Airplay music. That means feeding 6 2ch zones via monoprice controller, plus three multichannel zones that each have their own HT receiver.

Is it as simple as getting a 1x4 RCA audio splitter and sending the signal to the mono price unit and 3 receivers? Is there a more elegant solution? If a splitter is a recommendation, is there a better one than this: http://www.my-batteries.net/dvb-t/1-in-4-out-3-rca-av-audio-video-hdtv-dvd-ps3-splitter-cable.htm ?

Thoughts? Thanks!

I was going to suggest a distribution amp / splitter - but that's exactly what your link points to. So yes, that product will do the job.

I found a better solution in case someone is in the same boat:

Apple TV was already planned to be fed into a 4x4 matrix and fed to all 3 Receivers and 1 tv... So that gets sound and video to the receivers. Then the audio can go via toslink into the monoprice multi zone unit to 12 speakers around the house.

Basically, streaming ios audio via Apple TV instead of airport express.
