Alesis DEQ-830

Maybe a long shot but is anyone using an Alesis DEQ-830? For those not in the know, its an 8 channel 30 band digital EQ. My Rane THX-44 is kicking the bucket and I came across the Alesis and wonder how it performs.

Although 8 channels is nice the 30 band (1/3 octave) is not as flexible as having the parametric EQ that the Rane has. If you are looking for digital EQ there are a few out there, and probably more I'm not aware of. Here is some.

Hope this helps.

Can any of those options be had for $450~?
Oh and FWIW, we didn't use much of the parametric EQ section on my rane 44. And we used a laptop with ?smart? (I think it was smart), and outboard mic pre-amp, and a $2000 test mic. Truth be told my speakers/room didn't need much EQing at all, but it does make enough of a difference that I don't want to live with out it.
Off hand, I don't know the price of all them units. I'm sure they are all >1000. I would consider the alesis for all your speakers and a parametric EQ analog or behringer for the sub to keep the price more reasonable or check the used market.
