I thought it'd be nice to get to know some of us a little better. I mean we spend countless hours on this forum every month (or in my case, every day :))

So... how about a post with this info:

1) Your First Name (We all like a LITTLE anonymity)

2) City / State / (Country if not USA)

3) Male/Female

4) Age

5) Post a link to your pic!

--------------

1) I'm sure you're all shocked to learn my name is Randy

2) Colorado

3) Male

4) 25

5) No pic online, but I'm married and live with our two cats and three ReplayTVs.

It's had it's ups and downs. Single. Have had my SS3000 (hacked to 160hrs) since April 2K1. Restore old arcade machines and pinballs for a hobby. I doubt I'd be considered a regular since I rarely post (I try not to unless I have something useful to say or a question to ask) but I read every day, so what the heck?

Jonathan, 36, married, kids boy 7 and girl 4. Canadian from Ottawa and now live in suburbs of Chicago.

Technical specialist for Ariba (insane stock roller-coaster ride poster child).

Pana SS HS2000 since summer 2000. Just added an HS1000.

Bose surround system, WEGA TVs, X10 lights.

Have a JP1 cable, 2 RS 15-1994 uni remotes. Have got the two replays responding to separate devices from the uni remote - awesome. Macro in the remote for turning off the lights, TV on, selected replay on - lots of fun :)

Am going to add AVCAST media caster for home AV dist. and IR control.

Yeah, right, Randy. You say City/State, then give "Colorado." That's an area equivalent to saying NY/NH/VT/MA/CT/RI/ME. Gotta narrow that down. 'Specially since I miss Colorado so bad.

Oh, and I have a 20 hour Replay that I've had for almost two years and a 14 hour TiVo that I've had for about one year. Neither are hacked. During the time I'm not watching TV, sleeping or partying I work for a local publishing co./website/cityguide.

5) There are some pics on my rockabilly site, but you'll have to find them for yourself:

I'm originally from London, England (Croydon to be precise) and have been living in Chicago since 1988. I am married to Lisa and have two boys, Sean - 4 years & Casey 20 months, and two cats, Mo and Emma.

I'm a big rock&roll fan and was heavily involved in the local rockabilly scene for all of the nineties, until my priorities shifted with two little kids.

I bought my first RTV2020 in December 1999, which I have since given away, and now use a RTV3060 and a 30 hour Showstopper, controlled with my handy-dandy 15-1994 remote.

I'm not sure how "regular" I am (or any of us are, for that matter), but I post a lot so...

First name is "Joe" (Robman's "Duh"); Joseph to lawyers, bankers, and salepersons;

I live in Austin, Texas; don't say "y'all" (one sylable "yawl" as opposed to the Southern mans "ya-all") except in emails because I grew up in Northeast Ohio.

I'm 33.

I went to Case Western Reserve in Cleveland for my bachelors degrees -- BA in English, BS in physics. Too much Sci-Fi as a kid -- I still read and collect signed sci-fi today. Got my MS and PhD at Ohio University -- my subject was solid state physics, however the degree claims my doctorate is in "philosophy".

I've worked at several small companies since I "graduated" in 95/96 (left school in 95, defended in 96), been in Austin this time for three years.

Have a "poor boy's" home theater system -- 33" TV; Kenwood DVD VR407 A/V receiver; Sony SA100 sub; KLH surround/center speakers with Emmerson full sized L/R speakers -- music sounds MUCH better on full speakers; Samsung DVD 709 player; an old Sony Hi-Fi VCR; ReplayTV 3020 (upgraded to 80 gigs). Bought my first Replay, a PV-HS2000 in the August of 2000 -- my sister has it now in college. Also have a Pronto remote I haven't gotten around to completely programming.

Aside from putting together a home theatre system for under $1000 (not including ReplayTV/Upgrade -- the single most expensive piece of home electronics I have), I am a big Cleveland Indians fan -- have been to Tribe games in both Cleveland ballparks, both Houston ballparks, Arlington (Dallas), Baltimore (Camden Yards), Pittsburgh, Oakland, Kansas City, and Chicago (White Sox)... Try to get to three or four citys for games a year. Haven't been following the Browns as much as I used to -- but have seen them in 3 citys -- both Cleveland Stadiums, in Houston, and in San Diego.

And I shoot a lot of pool -- Play in the APA; have been playing miserably lately, and dropped this past weekend from a 5 to a 4 for the first time in three years. Damned captains keep playing me when I tell them I have a hitch in my stroke I can't find and I am going to lose. *sigh*... Will just have to start kicking some butt again.

I work for a financial services company in NYC and live with my gf Emily and our 7 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Jambi, who you all got to see before they took away the avatars.

I do not have HT gear like everyone else here but I have a Replay and couldn't live without it.

I am a huge huge NJ Devils fan and have seen them all over the place: All three NYC Area area arenas, Hartford, both Philly Arenas, both Boston Arenas, both Toronto Arenas, Detroit, Tampa, DC, Pittsburgh, Denver, San Jose, both LA Arenas, Anaheim, Phoenix and St. Louis.

My first name is Allen

Schaumburg, Il

I am 53. Sounds like I am the old man on this forum. I have 2 HS2000s. Not hacked. I will be doing the jp1 on my remote. I am just waiting for the weather to really get bad. Married, no children. We made a choice several years ago. Cars or kids. Cars won.

I work for Sears. Create spreadsheets and databases for the Divisions I work for.
