Does anybody know if the first 2 dvd's in this shrinked wrap pack

are identical to the original New Line Platinum release?

Reason I ask is because in this pack, the first 2 are now in the amaray keep case

instead of the old New Line Platinum "paper" cases.

But the even bigger flag that worried me was that it is now released by Alliance (up here in Canada)

On the edge it has Alliance instead of New Line.

Can anybody confirm that the quality of the alliance release is the same as the New Line Platinum release?

I guess anybody who was interested in Austin Powers would have bought them already and has no need to buy the later 3 pack released by Alliance...

Sorry, cant really answer your question but wanted to say that I dont think the Alliance release could be any worse than the New Line release. The New Line release has some of the worst compression artifacts out of my 500 disc collection. Just look at the credits in the beginning, ack. This title really needs a dual-layer release.
