I finally got my 8100 and can't wait to get it set up! I am getting ready to mount everything up and pick the screen I want but can't decide on how I should lay things out.

My room is approx 12x16 with 8 foot walls. The viewing wall is limited to 110" in width. On the viewing wall I can fit a 92" screen with the in-wall speakers mounted on either side or a 106-110" screen with the left and right speakers mounted below the sceen. Seating area is about 10-12 feet from the screen.

What does everyone think?

I know there are acoustically transparent screens out there but they are probably out of my budget. Is it a bad idea to have left and right speakers below the screen (about 18-24" off the floor). I've heard you should put the biggest screen you can fit on your wall or you will regret it later. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

2.35 or 16x9? If 2.35 then a 9' wide screen at 10' viewing distance is fine. If it's 16x9 then the screen may be too big. It's not the width at that point, but the image height that would be the concern.

I would do this right and get the AT screen. You can even DYI one and save a bunch of dollars. You don't want your speakers at the room boundaries.
