Alternative to JAMO S-606?

2027 Views 6 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  al2fast
I decided that i was going to build a HT with a Denon AVR-1912, JAMO S-606 5.0 speakers and a BIC F12 Sub. In contemplating design i realized that it may be easier to mount the speakers along side my 55" LED as opposed to trying to conceal the speaker wire around my mantle. Does anybody have suggesstion for mountable speakers that are comparable (price & quality) to the JAMO's? Thanks in advance!!!

The 606s are floor standing speakers with 8 in woofers. You cannot get wall mounted speakers that have that kind of range for anywhere near $399.
Thank you very much. Any speakers you would suggest?

Boricua de verdad? well that Jamo setup looks good. IMO I wouldn't trade a floorstander for something mountable like satellites or some small LCR's designed for flat panels. But that depends on the "WAF" factor

Claro que si! Thanks for the response! She is on the fence about floor standing speakers but I think I can convince her

I would try that route. In most cases you give up a lot in terms of SQ going with low profile speakers. Have her look at the cherry ones, IMO they look a bit nicer than all black and will give them more a furniture feel.
I think when the speakers arrive you will be surprised at the quality look of the cabinets. I have the black s606 towers only and the wood does not look cheap at all. Definitely not a peel and stick sticker looking veneer on them. you can see and feel wood grain, looks like wood stained black, not painted or anything else.
