I am installing whole-house audio in my condo. The ceilings are concrete. Therefore in most of the rooms, the speakers must be wall-mounted in a soffit that is about 8 1/2 feet from the floor. Due to architectural limitations, the speakers can only be installed so that they directly face a number of sliding-glass doors.
Originally, I wanted to use Niles DS6.7 speakers because they pivot and I could adjust them to direct the sound down into the room (vs. at the glass doors.) Unfortunately, all the Niles DS series are round speakers and I need to use rectangular or square speakers to fit in with design of my condo. Niles rectangular HD speakers, do have a pivoting tweeter, but its pivot range is very limited (about 17 degrees) compared to the Niles DS series. (The tweeters in the DS series can pivot almost 45 degrees.)
Does anyone know of any rectangular or square speakers that have directional adjustments for the tweeter (and ideally the woofer) that are close to the 45 degree adjustment capability of the Niles DS series? Or does anyone have any thoughts on other solutions to my problem?
