I am considering buying paradigm Cinema 90s for a living room surround-setup, is this an ok choice? Is there any good alternatives? They don't have too be as cheap, but looks are important, wich means small (cinema 90 size or similar), and preferably avaible in white and/or grey.

Are you going to use it for music too?

I was considering Cinemas, but when I went to listen to them my dealer steered me away from them and toward the Monitor series and I'm soo glad he did. I'm starting with Mini Monitors as fronts, then purchasing the rest as I save up for it.

Space was an issue for me, too (so was the budget), and the Atoms are just a little bit bigger than the 90s, they're also available in white. IMO the Atoms were a LOT nicer, but you're also getting 2 speakers instead of the full system...

I don't know if that helps at all...

I will have a 5.1 system, but thats no problem, i can just buy 5 atoms. It will be used for music also. What do you feel was better with the Atoms? They are a bit bigger, I am already pushing it by having a 5.1 system in this room, so i need some good arguments to go over the sinema in sice (espesically depth is a problem)

Your opinion maybe, but always nice to hear peoples opinion, i have no doubt that they are deeper, as the have quite a bit more low frequency extension than the cinemas, although I will be using a sub, so hopefully that problem will be solved.

Did you feel the cinemas was bad, or just not as good?

I have never heard the atoms, but I used the Cinema 90s for many years. I have been slowly upgrading them to Milleniums, but that is quite a different price range.

I loved the way the cinema 90s sounded and found no issues with them at all. I can say you will be pleased with them, since you are using a sub.

The Milleniums have a richer sound from them. One of the reasons is they can produce lower frequency sounds. If you have the money, you might as well go with the atoms, since they will give you a richer sound from each speaker.

Either way, I think you will be happy.
