Latest addition to my screens, just finished this one yesterday. I have used aluminum extrusion to make the frame and Formica 949-58 laminate on top using very thin double tap (carpet tape, permanent stuff) Turned out better than i expected. Aluminum extrusion is lighter than wood yet 100% straight and there are few ways to join the corners to make it look nice. Just have to finish with velvet border and im done. Let me know what you think guys.

Sorry for bad pictures i guess i need new camera

I love it! I'm planning to do nearly the exact thing in the next month or so: aluminum frame, WA-DW laminate, hang from ceiling.

If it's not too late, you may consider something from Grip Lock Systems for suspending your screen.

Can you point me to the adhesive you used to affix the laminate to the frame? Also, did you have any trouble getting the frame plumb/level when you went to hang it?

And of course, we (OK, I) would love to see pictures of the screen in action!

Great work!!!

Im going to finish the black trim and then take some pictures in action though i dont know if my camera can get decent pictures in the dark. I used heavy duty carpet tape, uts reallt cheap and bonds permanently much better than foam dual tape
