I just found 14/2 Speaker Wire at Buy.com


It says a 500ft roll of Monster Cipro 142500 will sell for $83.


It says it is CL rated, but under the tech area, it lists 144500 as CL3. No listing anywhere for 142500. Is it just a discontinued item? Or, am I about to get screwed? This is about a $100 less than I have seen 14/2 in-wall speaker wire.


Please help.

Check the price for 20-amp Roamex-style copper electrical cable at the Home Depot. It's in-wall rated, can handle all the capacity you throw at it, and sounds as good as the Monster IMO.


I find, for example, Southwire 14/2 NM-B with ground 250 Ft. $47.00

It's too bad that you can't buy un-grounded cable these days, or it would be even cheaper.

Cipro 142500 looks like Custom Installer 14 gauge x2 500 feet to me.
