I was thinking the other day that my Davis is feed an 800x600 signal from my HTPC so as to avoiding the internal scaler (which by all accounts is pretty average)...or is it?
Does the fact that the DMD is 848 x 600 make a difference?
Would the internal scaler still be altering the signal and not allowing the incoming PC signal to map the pixels one on one?
Will this ultimately degrade the image? And is the obvious answer to use powerstrip to set the res to 848 x 600?
Do we ever really avoid crappy internal image manipulation by feeding the Projectors native res if there is no function to turn of the internal scaler?
Cheers
John
