Am I getting lossless?
I have a panny xr57 with an HD A3 when I put in a true HD disc, HD a3 says multichannel or something like that and the amp briefly says PCM 96. I just have a 5.1 system and I am hooked up via hdmi
Does the PCM 96 Carry the best sound through as long as the player decodes it like true hd and dts hdma?

You will need a true transport, like the A35 to transmit DTSHD-MA to the receiver. BTW big sale on Amazon.
You also need a receiver that can decode a dts-MA bitstream.
