I am putting in distribution for a large house.

Currently I was planning on running 5x CT-100, 2xFTP and 2xUTP to each TV location.

This allows me to start with component switching, as digital is too expensive over here; but can switch to it when it drops in price.

Is this over kill? Some of the runs are very long and it looks like baluns are quite cheep with you guys now so would it be better to drop the 5xCT100, which is a big and bulky wire and lay some more cat5?

Thanks,

Simon.

With 1 Cat5e you can run Component and digital audio. With two you could run HDMI. So I think you might have some overkill.

Depends on the location and flexibility you want and need in a particular location. Say for instance you want HDMI and a separate audio feed.

Or that that you want to send audio/video out of said location back to the main hub for distribution.

What is you overall goal here??
