I have a Sanyo 21N. I really like the performance. I have one issue I would like to clear up. I notice when I am watching certain DVDs, a green hue in the shadowy areas especially on shadowy facial shots. Again I only see this on certain software. Is the a white balance adjustment? A Gamma adjustment or is it the nature of the bulb on the sanyo????

Dan G, do you notice this???

I used to get a similar green cast to certain images on my Sony 10HT. I was able to eliminate the problem by tweaking the gain and bias settings (which, on the Sony, can be individually adjusted for R-G-B). I ramped up the R and B, turned down the G, and my problem was solved. Not as good as an ISF calibration, perhaps -- but, in fact, I did this after being calibrated, and I like my settings better (I keep the original ISF settings on a separate memory setting so I can go back and forth).

Don't know how this works on the Sanyon, but I'd try to adjust the gain and bias.

With a last name like yours, you ought to be an expert!

Thanks! I have tweaked the RGB and it does minimize the effect. It must be an LCD thing...

At least I know that I am not the only one with the slightly green cast around facial lines....right?

I solved my problem and it was due to a greenish greyscale now I get excellent color rendition and skin colors are very realistic (no pastel colors either).

Juts had to adjust my grey scale spcially the bias (lower ire) cause it was too green. Of course this is not necessarily wvrich problem but it might as well be.

One thing I did to get the scale better calibrated was to use my pc monitor and my Toshiba tv as reference displaying the AVIA greyscale patterns. Since both of this displays deliver a very nice and accurate picture I thought that it may help...and it did big time.
