I'll be showing this off in the 10HT demo this weekend. I got this tweak from http://www.thebigpicturedvd.com/dcfo...D27/2397.shtml

What we are doing is a putting a CC20R (in my case, a CC40R) filter in front of the lens and then adjusting the blue and green gain to compensate for it. Effectively, this improves the black level through the use of the filter and the brightness stays the same through the gain adjustment. By properly adjusting the gain, we maintain color balance as well.

I tried this last night, and the difference was incredible. I believe that if I were to start using a screen and were to paint my walls to remove ambient light, I would achieve blacks that even a CRT lover could enjoy.

If anybody is interested in seeing this, please respond in this thread: http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/006451-2.html
