Last week I was watching a dvd on hdmi channel 1 and all of the sudden my tv switched itself to a cable broadcast channel announcing an amber alert in California.


Is this a feature in all recent televisions or just a crazy random coincidence?

You were watching a dvd from dvd player or some tv broadcast of a dvd?Really strange if dvd player stopped to let cable tv come on.Big brother controlling your tv.Not good at all.

The dvd didn't stop, it kept playing on hdmi while the tv switched itself to 86-?. At first I thought I sat on the remote or something but the remote was sitting by itself untouched.


I was able to switch back right away.


I have comcast basic cable and no box just the built in tuner on the panasonic th-42pz85u.

Seems to have been an issue with Comcast yesterday.
