Im not sure of the technical terms for what's happening but I need some help from the pro's.

My screen is on a wall about 3 feet behind another wall that is cut out from the floor up to the top of the ceiling. There is open space between the two walls where I plan to have my sub and then do some curtains.

My problem is that I am getting a great deal of light reflecting from the screen to the back of the front wall that is causing my colors to wash out slightly as this increases the light back on the screen (at least this is what I think is happening). Should I paint the back of that wall or what is the best way to deal with the "ambient" light the screen is placing back on itself? Paint, Curtains, screengoo type material..

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

If it were mine, I'd probably use some black velvet fabric as it has about the most light absorbtion of anything. It could probably be hung on the back side with pushpins for testing, maybe permenantly.

Absent that, I'd probably paint it flat black.
