Im looking at getting an LCD or DLP FP for a dedicated HT room. I plan on not just watching movies in this room once in a while but using it for most of my TV viewing as well. Should I make plans to install a regular direct view tv as well? Im thinking that all the daily viewing will end up costing me a fortune in bulb replacement. How do you guys use your setups?

I have a direct view monitor installed directly below my screen, but still use the projector (LT85) 4-5 hours a night.

I usually watch at least one movie a night on the FP, but I have a LCD RPTV for causal movies/TV, games, and the internet.

I usually suggest that people keep their old TVs around to watch normal TV, especially if they watch over 3 hours a night.

Unless they feel a need to watch the news on the big screen, and can pay for the extra $$$ bulb usage costs.
