About to drop a good portion of money on a pair of Martin Logan EMS speakers.


Now looking for a fairly affordable option for Amp/receiver for my home video theater.


Need something to come in less than $1000. At this price point is there anything better that I should consider other than the Pioneer Elite Series that I have noted below?

I recently bought a set of EM-ESL speakers and have them attached to a Marantz SR-5006. Everything is working and sounding great. You can find the SR-5006 or the SR-6005 on clearance for around $700.
