Tried 42 code with 0-4 with no difference. I quickly opened the remote hoping to find a replaceable bulb. I did not see one. How does this illuminate and how can I fix it? Thanks,

If it is the newer style remote then look carefully at the ribbon connector to the display, it is very fragile and the circuit traces can be damaged quite easily. If it is damaged you can attempt to repair the traces with a circuit board repair kit which has a liquid copper fluid.


If the backlight in the display itself is bad you can get a replacement display for about $100. It is probably cheaper to just buy a new remote in this case.

Cheaper yet is to buy a flashlight..LOL!


I've got a bunch here with dead lights, I never repair them.


NOte that when I sell them with working lights, I always leave the light setting at something less than full.
