Hello

I just want to clarify something about amps. Seperate and amps in recivers. For example the yamaha recivers or a six channel amp. Since they only have the one channel for the surround back and you have two. Could you hook both speakers to the one channel and not harm the amp? Since the back will only see 4 ohms and the other 8 ohms will it reall affect the preformance of the amp?

Thanks GOLDEN-EAGLE!

Try series wiring instead of parallel. That'll present a nominal 16 Ohm load, and should be a more stable load for the amp/receiver.

Positive terminal on amp to positive terminal on 1st speaker. Negative from 1st speaker to positive on 2nd speaker. Negative on 2nd speaker to Neg on amp.

You should only series-wire identical speakers.
