Howdy all. I took the plunge and joined the ranks of happy AE100 owners this week. Have only had about an hour to play with it but so far so good. The question I have is how can I connect my analog coax cbale to the AE100? Will the VB50 be sufficient or do I need additional equipment?

Well...the VB50 is the tuner is loodeedoo is aware.

Addiional equipment? If you have a prog scan DVD then you may want to consider running the DVD through the AA transcoder then into the VB50 VGA passthrough port. You can use the VB50 as a switchbox with only the VGA port being used on the pj. This is a nice alternative to component input to the pj for DVD. The AE100 manual makes it quite clear that the best PQ will come from VGA port. Tastes differ of course.

There are many threads on this subject...do a search on AE100 VB50 TRANSCODER as key words and you will find many lively and informative discussions.
