With my Denon 2900, I play back CD, DVD-A, and SACD all through the 6-channel analog out. The 2900 can handle all of the bass management and speaker distances for all those formats, so my receiver is just an amp with a volume control.

My question is can I just use the multichannel outputs for redbook cd playback or should I still connect the R and L outputs of the player to the receiver? I am trying to not buy more cables than I need. I wasn't sure if there was a benefit of the R and L outputs for standard playback. |
