I've just completed installation of a Dish 6000 receiver with an OTA Module. The local analog signal is fuzzy compared to the same signal that feeds the TV tuner. I've changed and swapped cables so I know it is not a cabling issue. Local reception has never been much of an issue for me. I wonder if the OTA tuner is simply bad and should be returned or if a better grade of preamplifier would help. I currently have a 15 year old Radio Shack pre-amp that I would not mind changing. Any thoughts on this?

Also, does anybody know I can purchase a Channel Master 7775 pre-amp?

The soft picture on OTA module for Dish 6000 has been documented since day 1 of it's release. There is nothing wrong with your unit. I only use OTA module output for HD program viewing, otherwise I watch SD direct off TV tuner.
