Analog Output 5.1 with True Dolby HD?

6424 Views 11 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  alwynwilliams
Is There a Blu ray player out there with a True Dolby HD and/or Master DTS processor on board that outputs on 5.1 analog? Reason I am asking is that I have a Lexicon MV-4 that accepts 5.1 analog but I need a player that outputs a processed True Dolby HD in 5.1 analog to my Lexicon. I like my Lexicon and do not want to get rid of it? Thanks for your help

Thanks for the site. It looks like the Denon is shipping in Feb and the pioneer soon after.

That chart is nice but it is incorrect for the Sharp hp20. The sharp should have a blue box under True HD as the player has the decoder.
It is still a work in progress. I sent a message to the author about the Sharp.

I also know the same person that does the blu-ray stats site is working on another database for players that will have selectable options as well.

Is this chart correct that the Samsung BD-P1200 can decode all the codecs internally (except DTS-MA) and output them via analog?

According to that list the LG BH100 can't do 24FPS. Actually if you want 1080P on this player, your tv needs to support 24P. Otherwise you get 1080i, which is in this case 60FPS.
According to your list the above player gives dolby true hd out of its analog 5.1 outputs well that is not true, and pioneer confirm that on pae 42 of their manual note 8 dolby digital only
