Hi Guys: i have seen many of you speaking about the wonders of installing an anamorphic lens in the projector. Could you be so kind to explain to me whats its function and the result a would get from it?. I have a Dream Vision Cinexone projector. Is it possible to ge this lens for this projector? What would be the aprox. retail prize. Thanks in advance fo all the help.

An anamorphic lens is an external optical lens that stretches the picture emitted by a projector. The most typical application is to stretch video signals that are electronically compressed by 33%. The advantage is that anamorphically enhanced DVDs and HDTV signals can be expanded back to their original shape and experienced using 33% more of the projector's pixels. Users typically report a smoother, brighter, more detailed picture, but also a more complex set-up. Prices start at $550.

Info on a suitable lens can be found at the bigscreendirect site. I have had the P752 for over a few years and it has given me no problems.

The P752 would be suitable for use with the short throw high offset Dream Vision Cine X one.
