Idk.. Apparently he just announced it on his ( blog?).. And he hasn't said ... I would assume there is a whole lot of $$$ available to him if he wanted to capitalize...

I don't think he's retiring.. He eluded to " new challenges " or something similar ... I'm paraphrasing from memory...Edit : the term actually was " fantastic new opportunity "..

As a former business owner that would fall under "a very bad idea" especially in this day and age when finding skilled help is insanely difficult.

Frankly, I was always amazed the past few years that he kept pumping out speaker after speaker at Elac that were essentially not all that different from one another.

If this is indeed the case, I could easily understand why he might want to do something different...especially after he completely changed the "budget" speaker market. Not much else to do at that pricepoint, especially with raw materials not going down anytime soon.

Good point..I'm guessing he wants more budget leeway , but that's pure speculation...
