As an ex-southerner, who watched AG all the time when I was young, I'm not sure I even want to see this DVD. It could turn into some kind of horrible flashback, and I might find myself sitting on the front porch in a rocker, cooling myself with a hand fan, and saying things like "Ya don't say?" and "Well, I'll be".

Tatum O'Neal's mom, Joanna Cook Moore, was far and away the best looking woman on that show. She was Andy's girlfriend early in the show, in the third year she played Peggy McMillan. She was beautiful even by movie star standards. Unfortunately her real life was tragic and filled with drug and alcohol abuse and she died 7 years ago. Helen was dull and a ***** in my opinion.

The IMDb shows her in episodes 1, 2, 4 and 5 of season 3. I thought she was in more than 4 but I guess it is because whenever a rerun with her is on, I watch even though I know the story in its entirety. In addition to beauty she had a sweet southern accent, nothing is sexier than a feminine southern accent.

For me there was always the underlying assumption that Barney and Sheriff Taylor were gay. They spent alot of intimate time down at the jail.

Sigh, anyone miss the days of Evil Jeannie vs Serena threads? Though I fear if we tried it today, somebody would be voting for Agnes Moorhead (who actually was a babe in her younger days).
