Stupid Comcast still doesn't carry the WB's HD channel.

Does ANY cable system carry a WB HD channel? For some reason the WB HD channels don't seem to be able to interface with the cable systems? In my area all of the local HD channels are carried by TW and Cox cable except for the WB affiliate which has been broadcasting OTA in HD for a year now!

Is this information accurate? The initial list of shows that were expanding into HDTV did NOT include Angel. It was too expensive to convert with all the special fx.


If true, that would be nice. My cable company doesn't carry WB in HD either. I am a little too far to pick it up over the air. Usually, I can, if I stick some rabbit ears out my window, but it's less than reliable. Guess I'll have to try it while tivoing the SD version just in case.

You know, I've heard that too, that both Angel and Charmed would be too expensive to post-produce in HD due to all of the special effects. Angel underwent a budget cut before the new season and spent most of their available income signing James Marsters, so I doubt that this Mediaweek article is correct.

The WB tribune websites all show Angel as HD for the new season - so I believe its accurate.
